Marc founded a predecessor to HSSK in 1993 following an almost 20 year career with Coopers & Lybrand. At the time he left Coopers & Lybrand as an audit partner, he was partner in charge of its Houston based Financial Advisory Services Group ("FAS"). In that responsibility he had twenty people reporting to him providing business valuation, bankruptcy and reorganization, and litigation services to clients.
He has assisted clients in performing due diligence and negotiating business purchases in the banking, petrochemical, refining, heavy equipment manufacturing and electric and water utility industries. He has worked with clients of all sizes in the petrochemical, energy, manufacturing, publishing, airline, retail and finance industries since he entered into practice in 1974. Since his first case in 1976 he has been active in providing litigation consulting services to clients. In the early 1980's he became very active in providing bankruptcy-consulting services to trustees, debtors and creditors. In 1993 he was named to the panel of Chapter 11 Trustees in the Southern District of Texas. Marc received his BA in Economics from Princeton University and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs including the Forensic and Valuation Services Section, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and the National Association of Forensic Economics. Marc is Certified in Financial Forensics and is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
